"According to SlashDot, domain name registrar GoDaddy is blocking some domain names that appear on the SpamHaus spam blacklist.
One Slashdotter points out that the requested $199 administration fee GoDaddy demands to release the block simply means the released domain can presumably again be used for spam purposes. IOW, this can be seen as little more than an extortion attempt on spammers.
Is this a slippery slope? Block kiddie porn sites (which I'd support if actual legal authorities were involved)? Then block Al Queda sites? Then block [you fill in the blank]. -g"
