Topic: Alternate Roots

AP's Anick Jesdanun, who is turning out to be one of the leading reporters in this area, reports that new.net will announce Monday that it has signed deals to package its plug-in with Asfile-download manager GoZilla, and file-sharing products iMesh and BearShare. "The three are among the 10 most popular free programs as tracked by Download.com." AP Reports.

AP also says New.net will "package its plug-in with software from Cydoor Technologies Inc. and a fifth company it would not disclose." New.net says this deal should allow it to reach another 20 million end-users, more than doubling its current audience.

The media does not realize that a domain name that does not work for 100% of Internet users does not have any value. It is unfortunate that they are giving Bill Gross's latest publicity stunt legs.
