Of course we're interested in participating. However, ICANN does not provide a forum for public participation. To the contrary, the staff makes most decisions behind closed doors, and then the board rubber stamps major decisions in secret meetings. Public ICANN meetings do not accomplish anything.
ICANN is run by Louis Touton. He is very smart and quite competent. But, the domain name system should be operated by more than one guy.
