ok...that's a valid point. But I would also like to add that this quote:
"...but Lynn said the slowing global economy had reduced calls for large numbers of new domain names."
is not clearly articulated as Dr. Lynn's personal opinion or that of ICANN. And there is a big difference here. If indeed ICANN's formal position, then it must provide to the community its supporting evidence and market research using both quantitative and qualitative analysis along with the statement. If it is just Dr. Lynn's personal opinion, then the author should have noted this and people can accept it or not but not be confused that it is ICANN's formal position supported by professional analysis and modeling. Any reader of this article does not know and the author butchered it, plain and simple, for this and other reasons. This is my point.
