If the only advantage to those who now use a domain is that it is cheaper, it will not fly (and why would it)? A domain can be had for $8 or $9. Even if there is no decent dot com left for you, you'd be happy with michael357.com, which is certainly easier to remember than 73829.03.67.7, I mean to remember for yourself. So even if these PUI go for free, who would bother?
Anyway: Any ideas to replace the DNS in any or all of its functions, should address the question: What will I then put on my trucks, if not www.ourbiz.com?
