What's the big deal whether Kent & his company or someone else reviews the applications. The DNSO is providing some review as well. It seems that there are enough hands in the pot reviewing this. But as usually, certain groups scream "CONSPIRACY!" if they are not told of every single step that ICANN takes. Hey Vint, let us know when you use the john, okay. Hey Stuart, what kind of color stamp are you using to ok ICANN policy today? Geez, let them do their job and review the applications. .org will go to a qualified applicant. Just maybe it will be one that you don't suspect too.

It's not a big deal until the $125k is figured in. Then it becomes a big deal.
Stuart: Hm, we need to find a use for this money, since we already know who we're going to approve.
Louie: Well, Kent's been a good boy, let's throw him a bone.
Kent: I know all. I see all. I tell nobody but you.
Stuart: Okay, suits me. Here, Kent, here's $125k, craft me a report that gives the most favourable nod to you know who
Kent: You know who? Karl Auerbach?
Louis: No, you idiot, he's the other you know who. This is the you know who who gets .ORG.
Kent: Oh, yeah, them.

(with the acknowledgement that I have no idea who the mystery consultant is. But I do think I know who you know who is)
