I think you are giving too much credit to the Americanization of world culture by discounting the arguments raised by mjrippon & the sucks decision. It is funny to think that Springer might be broadcast around the world (no wonder foreigners don't like Americans, if they see that crap), but it is doubtful that Springer would be broadcast in English to Karachi. There are actually people, who use the Internet and may not know what the term "sucks" means.
Should trademark owners win sucks decisions? Probably not. But if a squatter registers a sucks address and sells products on the site instead of protesting the company, then the trademark owner should be able to shut the site down.
