I don't take myself that seriously! I'm not the issue. ICANN is!
Either they're prepared to answer reasonable questions, or not.
Me? I'm nobody. But I'll keep posting the questions if necessary.
I'm in favour of openness here at ICANNWATCH, on the ICANN forums and on my own websites... including www.VintCerf.com and www.FredUpton.com
Even if I get a foot full of bullets!
The issue is the need for ICANN to engage in open dialogue when serious concerns are raised by people - however ordinary those people are.
I quite like the idea of being the registrant of those names. After all, nobody "owns" them. And when I use them, I'll only use them for decency and openness and in a wholly human and down-to-earth way.
I repeat, the issue is not some nobody like me from UK, but ICANN and their failure to manage their affairs with sufficient openness.
I await Vint's response to my simple challenge...
or he can run and hide...
but it will all come out on his own special website if I decide to do that... with openness and a fair "right of reply" for Vint...
It's a free and (supposedly) open world!
Richard

Politicians from a number of countries have sued or used the UDRP to attempt to get their names back, sometimes successfully. You've done much good research, and used it to make logical arguments that reach reasonable conclusions. It's unlikely Fred Upton will want to hear them if he's filing against you. Nor will Vint likely take kindly to what amounts to a threat. No-one who you really need to influence will take you seriously either. If you want to register FredUptonRulez.com or VintonCerfSucks.info and actually use them for something related, have at it. ICANN hasn't done anything to quell speculation mania because that is a large part of paying their outrageous bills. You'd cause more change at ICANN by burning your money than by registering names. -g
