ICANN's Dictator Vinton Cerf Pulls in the Fences
Faced with the defeat of President Heinz and now faced with the reality of four more years dealing with the Bush administration, ICANN Chairman Vinton Cerf is posturing to make ICANN look small and no longer a focal point. He is also ready to move up the food chain with his ISOC to the Geneva-based forums, where President Heinz would have been a visible player. Maybe Mother Theresa will be at Vinton Cerf's and Dave Farber's sides as they move on, beyond ICANN, in their quest for world domination.
http://www.circleid.com/article/795_0_1_0_C/ "The world needs an effective and well-supported ICANN but the participants in the World Summit on the Information Society and the Working Group on Internet Governance now need to turn their attention to the full panoply of public policy issues that, as discussed above, lie outside the mandate of ICANN."
