The interesting thing is, with ICANN so far off mission, we'd probably be in better shape if ORSC were given the technical management job! They've already shown that they can run a more stable root than ICANN's non contracted volunteers.

The alt root fans can keep dreaming. ICANN may be restructured, but it won't die. ORSC will not be given control over anything.

During this new world order and group consensus do you expect VeriSign to keep the current contracts it has in place? VeriSign has learned a lot and they control mostly everything now even buying up registrars. Their will be absolutely nothing to keep a check on them after - Why would they sign-up with the new order? The DOC and ICANN agreements are the only thing that keeps the monster behind the glass door with a sign "Break here to save the internet"

I never have any problems making a call from Boston to London...I think the ITU may be the best bet here.
