Neulevel touts in effect how .US is representative of freedom, etc here in the United States.
Pure nonsense!!
.US registry censors domain names...my "fuckcensorship.us" domain (thank goodness for .COM) along with numerous others have been put "on-hold" pending deletion. So much for freedom :-(
On an aside, the terrorists appear to have won...
* The WTC is destroyed and won't be rebuilt in any form. Many are now pushing to build nothing on the 16 acres.
* The Statue of Liberty is still closed (sure one can visit the island - but no one is permitted near nor inside the structure). Basically sends the message to the world that America is closed and freedom has been suspended.
* White House tours have virtually been eliminated; and the tour itself has been greatly abbreviated. So much for the "people's house" :-(
* Independance Hall and surrounding area in Philadelphia is now like a war zone...armed guards, barracades everywhere, and limited access.
Point is that Americans as a group are trading away freedoms for temporary safety. Americans are told that the patriot thing to do is DRIVE, BUY, SPEND, etc...consume all they can to help the economy...
Neustar is just playing along...so make sure you get your .US domain September 11th and support the country. Who cares about the victims or the real threats that face America...once one buys a .US domain they've done their duty for the day...what a bunch of crap. Not that I really care since .US has already become an "as been"...if suckers want to throw their money away, so be it...but they'd do better to donate their money direct to the cherities.
Ok, this is one of the most rambling messages I've written in a long time...hope it makes sense :-;
