Plan B is of course: In the event that people
figure out the back-door Neustar approach to
taking .NET away from Verisign, then, "aw shucks"
that would be like the illegal lottery situation
with .BIZ. Neustar and the ICANN Board would have
to quickly find another plan. Plan B would of
course be for the ICANN Board to just out of the
blue award Neustar with the .NET TLD Registry
contract, and call it a day.
If the ICANN Board twists Neustar's arm, they
probably ("aw shucks") would go ahead and handle
the .NET TLD for a few (many) years to help
the ICANN Board out of a jam. Such nice guys they are, over
at Neustar. The "community" is so grateful.
Just sweep all that hype that went with the .BIZ
TLD under the rug. Have you seen a .BIZ site ?
Pay no attention to that .US TLD, which Neustar
is managing for the U.S. Department of Commerce,
on a contract that keeps getting extended, as
no one notices.
Just keep those ccTLDs in the dark and coming
to the GAC and ITU run ICANN meetings. The
government-funded fools keep growing in numbers
and "aw shucks" Neustar will have to provide
them a free lunch for their loyalty.
