You compared .us/.info/.biz to New.net names. The point is being included in the root doesn't guarantee that you will have more visibilty, hence the traffic.
There is a reason why New.net didn't apply. Had you checked their forum, you would have understood it before jumping into conclusions.
Nobody is playing in the sandbox. We're in the same playing field. Being in the root doesn't mean that you're in a better position. Face the reality.
BTW, many anti-spyware programs stopped targeting New.net. Sorry that's bad news for you. :(
