New.net's installer is contained in many spyware packages. This is a fact.
I don't own any .WEB names, so I have no idea why you're presuming that I do. I also don't own any new.net names.
I fail to see why IOD should sponsore an ICANN event until the next round happens, and not even then. For that matter, if new.net has paid to sponsor any, I would guess it's money wasted.
I don't much care about IOD and .WEB other than noting that they don't payload their system in spyware, need plug-ins to resolve, or bad-mouth ICANN at every turn. At least they play by the rules and have had their domain protected as a result. Too bad new.net will lose .TRAVEL and possibly .XXX as well.
I also don't understand your comment about traffic. Who said anything about traffic? I own one domain name, and I have pictures of my horses on it. I was talking about visibility. Come back when new.net names can be resolved on the net. And don't try to claim that .WEB is no better off because I'm not saying they are. But I do know that they have a chance to be approved because they've applied. new.net hasn't applied. You can't win if you don't play. Unless you think new.net will succeed because of their plug in. If that's what you think, you can go play in your little sandbox by yourself.
