    Problems with longer TLDs
    by dtobias (dan@tobias.name) on Monday March 22 2004, @03:31AM (#13233)
    User #2967 Info | http://domains.dan.info/
There is a genuine problem; I do, from time to time, run into software or registration forms that refuse to accept e-mail addresses in .name or .info. This would seem to call for "tech evangelism" of those sites, similar to the campaigns to get sites incompatible with standards-compliant browsers like Mozilla to change (or hold them up to shame and ridicule if they refuse).

Dave Farber Nets another 2-letter TLD ?
    by Anonymous on Thursday March 25 2004, @07:54AM (#13269)
While Vinton Cerf and the other cronies of Jon Postel restrain trade and prevent other companies from entering the marketplace, Jon Postel's thesis advisor, Dave Farber, and other cronies are quietly pulling in the 2-letter TLDs for their personal profit, all for the community good of course.

They now appear to have 23 TLDs including .ORG.

Single Letter TLDs Going to Major Religions
    by Anonymous on Saturday March 27 2004, @05:48AM (#13281)

.NAME is too long for cell phones and is also censored.

The Single Letter TLDs are being delegated to the major religions on Earth.
