some of the names are already gone.

next registration rights have been sold by network solutions for six months.

i tested it by buying the next registration on home.com....and got it.

oh i hope that original registratnt lets it drop...ha,ha - of course for $100 any registrant could buy the next ten years and never have to worry... thats the way registrars will probably market todays decision, encourage max time period registrations.

the 3 letters are already gone i belive, i would bet the top 3000 dictionary words are gone too.

anyone else try to get a next registration rights name? it appears verisign has to give 90 days notice so i cant see how even looking at recent expires makes sense becuase they'll be expired before the new system starts.

the hubub over the whole plan has left the details to verisign, i can't help but think that means a tilted playing field ..i just dont know which way.

    Anybody have any thoughts.

I don't know how much you paid for the future rights to home.com, but in some strange coincidence I've worked for the current registrant as a senior computer tech since 1991. Let me assure you that it will be renewed for the next ten years if I have to crawl across miles of razorblades to get some beancounter to make it so. -g
