    If I was silly or high enough to buy a name from Name.space, or any other alternative root snake-oil salesman, I'd think again before spending thousands of dollars building a quality-content site. The alternate roots started as a field for those who valiantly tried to circumvent ICANN, truly a worthy cause. However, greed was also a huge motivation, the "I started selling it first, therefore I own it ..." mentality. Anyway, for whatever reasons, it failed. No marketing, no real support from IP constituency, only Name.Space standing there yelling: "Hey, we sell over 500 different TLDs! Come and get 'em!" What a joke. The bozo who speaks for that company needs a shrink, not a license to manage the registry database for 500 TLDs.

    And don't give me that bullshit about ICANN protection rackets, good-old-boy clubs, insiders,
    conflicts of interest, backroom deals, and no bottom-up process. Name.space stayed away from .WEB and .BIZ, protecting those TLDs for THEIR fair-weather friends.

    "Alt roots are not tolerated on this board"
    --> Please ban me from this board. LOL
    You are not man enough to post with your real name on this board and you want to tell me to leave this board? That says all about you.

    "Name.Space is not an authorized TLD provider"
    -->Is New.net authorized?
    Was RealNames authorized?
    Is ICANN authorized?

    "so you are WASTING YOUR MONEY"
    --> I let Name.Space counter you:
