Why don't you mention about ISP, registrar and backbone provider partnerships? Maybe this is the thing that you don't want to see.
And you know very well that plug-in is a temp solution. Catagorizing New.net to a "simple plugin distributor" doesn't help you solve your .web problem. Maybe you should focus on .web more than you're focusing on your Club Drop project.
That's why New.net is still alive and kicking. They're focusing on what they really want to accomplish.
Your approach doesn't involve any innovation. You're another follower.

Your decision to wait may pay off or not. If I look at Atlantic Root with its .biz, at DomainIsland with .info or .name or Name-Space with .info or .museum it is very likely that it will not pay off. Btw I think you choose to wait because you have had no other option. While your customers had to wait and still have to wait some years to make money, New.net customers can make money right now. With a new.net domain name you get a free listing in their pay-per-click search engine. That means targetted traffic to your new.net domain name
nic.PRO will be back online soon with FREE sub-domains. Dowload the FREE plug-in at www.name-space.com/software
