Either freeze all registry services, to core requirements, or live with the consensus process. Personally, I'd go for the former, to prevent further abuses by the monopolist VeriSign.

VeriSign has also been trying to gain sympathy [bayarea.com] lately "How can we continue to make investments without making a return on them?" I remind the abusive monopolists at VeriSign that they already committed [icann.org] to that spending, until 2010. Live with the contracts you signed, you're big boys. Oh, and seeking a guaranteed return on unwanted spending, that we as consumers never asked for and oppose is too much to swallow, sorry. Seek investments in the competitive registrar space, or in the user community like everyone else. You're not prevented from competing there. Seeking to leverage your monopoly to abuse competitors and consumers is a sign that you need to be replaced.

We're not biased against corporations in general, just the abusive ones, like VeriSign.
