What is IOD? I'm all for .web, and many more unsponsored, unrestricted, gTLDs (somewhere in the neighbourhood of at least 15 introduced per year). However, we should be careful who we delegate such TLD strings to, in my opinion. Something as neat as .web should be managed by a non-profit, true public benefit corporation. In essence, I'm thinking that the Internet Multicasting Service [invisible.net] would be best suited to administer and manage a TLD such as .web.
Other unsponsored TLDs I've thought would be useful: .blog .chat .news (however, a policy should be implemented that allows accredited news organizations such as CNN or the Associated Press to take over a domain name, similar to the .biz STOP policy framework) .space ("web"space, get it?) .store .web
In terms of new restricted TLDs, there are a couple that would be good: .health (available for registered physicians and accredited sources of health information [to weed out bogus crap]) .inc (available for any legally incorporated and registered company)

I totally agree with Mr.Ambler. They (.WEB) deserve to be included in the A-root. They are innovators. New.net deserves this, too. These companies are the real innovators.
Let IOD & New.net in.
