Uh...bullshit. My spam-load both at home and at work has tripled since they started mucking about with the DNS, not to mention the trouble I've had with scripts and monitoring systems suddenly breaking.

I use to think the execs, etc... at VRSN were drinking too much of the cool-aid. You guys are freakin' chugging the stuff. If you think this is an Internet-governance issue, then say so. But the sky did not fall, no matter how much you say it did. Being unrealistic about what really happened only hurts your position, it doesn't help it.
I measured my spam uptake. My personal inbox receives over 100 spam messages a day, and with .com/.net wildcard only caused a 0.5% spike -- something I did not notice because the other spam checks caught them.
