Actually, you're wrong. Verisign is running a broken SMTP server on that IP address. It reports 550 for any e-mail you try to send (which is a fatal error for those of you who don't know SMTP error codes). It does, however, increase the amount of traffic required to bounce a message. Before sitefinder, only one or two DNS lookups were required, now two DNS lookups are done, and your mail server has to go through a full SMTP conversation with Verisign before bouncing the mail.
