I initially misjudged Louis.
But after having worked with, argued with, and fought with Louis for a couple of years I have come to respect him.
Louis Touton deserves a real "thanks" for his work - he is one of the hardest working people I have ever met -, for his humor, and for his constructive intent.

Karl is one board member. He can only do so much, he only gets one vote -- and that's not even enough to stop something the ICANN boardsquatters want to pass through. I also think Vinton Cerf is an excellent board member because he's friendly, well spoken, and always offers intelligent commentary. I may not always agree with Vint or Karl, but I believe both gentlemen are two people within ICANN that are huge assets. They are key to ICANN's evolution and reform process.
You're quite right about Joe Sims though, I'm glad he's gone.
Best,
Doug Doug Mehus
