It would have been nice had ICANN's "staff" given notice of this report to, much less shown a copy to, ICANN's own Board of Directors.
Whether one agrees with the ICANN's so-called "reform" and the ALAC stuff or not, the conception that ICANN represents the interests of "the community" through its Board of Directors is nullified by the extent to which ICANN's staff ignores the Board and also by the extent to which the Board fails to require that ICANN's staff make itself accountable to the Board.
I have my own comments on this report which I hope to be posting on my blog [cavebear.com] later tonight or early tomorrow.

I agree with Bret -- more detailed and more frequent and especially more timely reports are a good thing. But I also agree with dmehus in that I don't think you could ever understand what's really going on just by reading ICANN's official accounts...
