"What ever happens, I continue to wish that IANA would at least give public notice of every request for re-delegation it receives." We agree. The recent ITU ccTLD workshop with Member States held in Geneva on 3-4 March 2003, cf. http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/workshop/cctld/, gave a simple opportunity to the ITU organizers to discover that "Approximately 15% (35 of 242) ADMIN CONTACTS were invalid (the E-Mail address was not valid)", cf.http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/workshop/cctld/ cctld027.html. Subsequently, and for the first time since years, the ICANN staff provided an explanation, cf. http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/workshop/cctld/027 add1.html, stating than 14 ccTLD Registries were in redelegation situation, and several other cases were known problems. There is no explicit list - one need to correlate the ITU table with ICANN/IANA answers to get the pending redelegations. Elisabeth Porteneuve

There are no spoils in a liberation, only in a war or in an invasion.

If criminality is reason enough to redelegate
    by fnord ({groy2k} {at} {yahoo.com}) on Friday April 11 2003, @10:20AM (#11493)
    User #2810 Info
If criminality is reason enough to redelegate, then perhaps the ccTLD .pn (Pitcairn Island, home to the descendants of the Bounty mutineers) may [stuff.co.nz] soon be up for redelegation. It wouldn't be the first time [iana.org]. -g

Dot iq redeligation and rebuidling of Iraqi Int.
    by jwkckid1@ix.netcom.c on Friday April 11 2003, @10:42PM (#11495)
    User #1468 Info

It is clear that teh likely hood or the ITU and/or ICANN
will be attempting to "Play it's games" with ther
potential of redelication of .IQ and the rebuilding of
    the Iraqi internet.

Yet it is possible if not likely that depending on
how the democratization of Iraq begins and perhaps
proceeds under Gen. Garner's temporary oversight
that there will be some concern as to ICANN's
illigitimate and so called required contract requirenments
in such a redeligation, which is definately needed. It has
also come to my attention some time ago that other
ccTLD designations for the different factions inside
of Iraq may well be a strong consideration. .IRQ
    perhaps.
