No, not at all surprised. Anybody doing business in the private sector knows that all contracts are negotiable right up to the moment they are signed. That much was always self evident. The interesting thing is that without documented evidence of consensus on Option C, (from constituencies, the GA and the NC), Mr Stuart Lynn is, in effect, presenting the BoD with a "best guess" as to what to do. Clearly, the BoD does not have a clear mandate from the DNSO NC and So's to accept the contract now presented to them, yet there is heavy pressure to bring closure to the deal. It will be interesting to see what they do.
