ICANN testified that: "Directors are entitled to rely on the work of outside consultants." - sorry, pulled this directly from Bret Fausett's log rather than official court records, but this source is good enough for me and I think answers what any future defense may consist of presuming, of course, anything of such would be necessary (which is today a large presumpton to make).

Yes, that is what I was referring to when I spoke of outside interests. Who are these outside consultants (unnamed like the .org consultant)? Typical ICANN use of big lies like openness and transparency. It is absurd in the extreme that ICANN would assert that unnamed outside consultants can access its records, but its own elected Director cannot. This smells more and more like WorldCom, Enron, et al. Big lies, hands off Directors, shady outside figures. Something tells me it will end badly. -g
