Robert Connelly has posted a follow-up that partially explains why he was not given access to the zone file. I guess Afilias Directors get the same mushroom treatment as ICANN Directors. Some more coverage from silicon.com and the register. These new TLD roll-outs are turning into such an unmitigated disaster that ICANN's normal stance of business as usual won't generate enough spin anymore. The proof of concept excuse won't wash anymore. The roll out the internet has waited for for a decade has been rife with incompetence and corruption, from top and bottom, and from beginning to date. This is a question of accountability. We all know who is accountable for this, Jones Day, ICANN staff, and the TM and IP folks. Let's see them spin their way out of this one. -g
