Irish government plans to regulate .IE

Antoin O Lachtnain writes "The Irish Department of Communications is planning to put in place a regulatory framework for the IE domain. This is a good and bad - bad because regulation may well impose an administrative and cost burden, but good because it will spur reform of the Registry (a private company, with self-selected directors) which is unwilling to reform itself from within."
