    fnord writes "According to NetCraft Vint Cerf is now saying that the .net price cap (or floor) removal will be looked at again. This after 33 registrars (including the major ones, like Network Solutions?) raised a fuss at Luxembourg, citing breach of trust. That could, and could still if this is a delaying tactic or fob off, lead to YAILS (yet another ICANN LawSuit). Is there any part of the .net redelegation that ICANN got right or did by the rules? -g"

    The language that Dr. Cerf read from the Verisign statement was carefully worded. If I recall correctly (and the real-time transcription should be posted next week), Verisign said that it was open to discussions about the timing of the price cap rollbacks. Not much of a concession but interesting to see Verisign trying to help ICANN save face.

    As far as I can tell, the general sense in Luxembourg is that a rollback in price caps is appropriate if we have real registry-level competition. Perhaps that's good news for .WEB and others.
