Two new sites for commentary on the IGF
posted by michael on Thursday September 21 2006, @04:17AM
qirtaiba writes "Two new sites for commentary on the Internet Governance Forum have launched ahead of its inaugural meeting in Athens which is due to take place from 30 October to 2 November 2006.
The first is an official forum, at which the only topic presently available for discussion is the important one of how to best enable remote participation in the IGF's deliberations.
The second site, titled IGFWatch (no relation to ICANNWatch), is a community site established by an Australian scholar who is also conducting PhD research into the IGF which he is progressively publishing to a Wiki.
With surprisingly little interest in the IGF from the blogosphere to date, it is to be hoped that these sites will help to ignite a greater level of interest and discussion before the IGF's first meeting has come and gone."
