Conspirators Abound

The pro-VeriSign folks at free2innovate.net have posted a copy of VeriSign's just-filed revised complaint against ICANN. The court bounced VeriSign's antitrust claim against ICANN last month; it explained that such a claim required VeriSign to specify who ICANN was conspiring with (or who was controlling ICANN behind the scenes and causing it to take actions restraining competition). VeriSign's complaint, the judge continued, didn't do that -- but he gave VeriSign permission to take a second shot.
Verisign filed its new complaint three days ago. The newly named co-conspirators? Afilias, Alice's Registry, Paul Vixie, "certain registrars" and Steve Crocker (when it came to SiteFinder); the operators of GoDaddy, Alice's Registry, eNom, Dotster, Pool.com, and TuCows (when it came to WLS); and the China Internet and Taiwan NICs (when it came to IDN).

I guess Rick Wesson gets a special award, as the only person listed as a part of not one but two conspiracies . . .

I'm honoured that they suspect that I'm pulling the strings of this vast secret conspiracy! Perhaps they've been watching too many episodes of the X-Files, or something.....simply ridiculous of them to think that anyone who disagrees with their abusive behaviour is part of a large conspiracy.

If Verisign wants to end (or curtail) the co-conspirators' activities, what stops Verisign from simply turning off (or re-directing) those people's .COM names ? I'm assuming because their legal department told them that would be a blatant contract voilation, instead of a subtle one.
