As the Board Turns
posted by michael on Tuesday July 29 2003, @10:13AM
dmehus writes "ICANN has posted a summary of its teleconference special meeting of the Board of Directors on July 23rd, 2003. Among the items that occurred during this meeting:
- Vinton Cerf was re-appointed Chairman, serving until the conclusion of the organization's 2003 Annual Meeting;
- Alejandro Pisanty was re-appointed to his padded position as Vice Chairman, serving until the conclusion of the 2003 Annual Meeting, too; and
- the Board committees were redesigned, shifting previous members to new committees and giving the new Board members the coveted spots on the Executive and Finance committees (at least I assume those would be very much wanted, anyway)."

"My question is. Why did it take six days to post such a simple summary of the "special meeting"?"

I dunno, but that's nothing. Why does it take ICANN almost two years to post the minutes of some of their meetings? And yeah, the ExComm is the important one as they have historically made most of the decisions. And Michael Palage on the Conflict of Interest Committee, that's almost as rich as having Rob Blokzijl on it. -g
