    NomCom ICANN Advertises for At-Large NomCom Members

    Don't tell them you heard it here, but ICANN is advertising for at-large NomCom members. Whether ICANN will go beyond familiar and friendly faces, and whether even if it does, the NomCom will operate with rules that allow minority views to get represented on the Board (e.g. with proportional voting as opposed to a straight majority-rules, first-past-the-post voting system) remains to be seen.

    In fact, it is the ALAC who is sending out that announcement. Please submit us good names :-)

    (Personally, I agree that new faces would be desirable, but I would also be a little worried about the At Large constituency being the only one to find new people, while all other constituencies send their best lobbyists.)
